Heidi Gramatic

I was born in Germany but have been living in Switzerland since 1984. I have studied violin and pedagogics with Eiko Furusawa (Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich), Karen Turpie (Schaffhausen Music Conservatory) and Ulrich Gröner (Music Academy Winterthur/Zürich). To complete my studies I have taken numerous master classes in violin and chamber music in Switzerland and abroad. For several years I have been playing music in various orchestras in Switzerland (Symphonic and Chamber Orchestra Neuchatel, Zürich String Soloists, Thurgau Chamber Orchestra).

Since 2000 I have been teaching with great passion at the music school in Kreuzlingen, where I am also leading different string orchestras.

The very intensive teamwork with my husband and the need of giving my own students professional and quality advice in the search of instruments have deepened my enthusiasm and knowledge of violin making, sound optimization and consulting.

I live with my husband Ioan Gramatic and our three children in Winterthur.
