We are always looking for beautiful Italian instruments and French bows. Our clientele includes musicians, collectors, foundations and investors. If you want to sell an instrument or a bow, we can serve you in different ways.

Direct purchase: we buy the instrument from you for a fair market price. Please send us all available information (certificates, expert opinions, proof of purchase, etc.) as well as pictures. You can see a tutorial for pictures here:

Repair: we will provide you with a cost estimate and overhaul your instrument or bow

Appraisal/Certificate: we will give you an oral or written appraisal for your instrument or bow. We also make certificates ourselves or can commission them (London, Paris, Cremona, etc.)

 

Pictures: we produce professional pictures for an optimal and professional presentation (350.- violins, violas and bows, 450.- cellos; HQ-360° pictures*: 650.- violins, violas and bows, 850.- cellos).

 

Sales advice: we advise you on the best way to sell your instrument or bow.

 

Dendrochronological analysis or computer tomography: you can have these analyzes done by us for expensive instruments. For an offer please contact: info@artes-violins.ch

 

Private sale: we act as an intermediary to potential customers.

 

Online sales: We offer your instrument on our online site (www.artes-violins.ch) in order to reach potential customers worldwide in the easiest and fastest way.

 

Of course, there is also the option of leaving your instrument to us on commission.

 

We are not interested in very simple instruments and bows, in student or in ordinary Chinese instruments.
